Privacy Policy

Packabee is a service that helps families build packing lists that adapt to a trip and to each traveler. This policy explains what information we collect when you use Packabee, why we collect it, and the choices you have. If you have questions, contact us at hello@packabee.com.

Account information. When you sign up we collect your email address and, if you provide them, a display name and a household name.

Content you create. To generate packing lists we store the travelers you add to your household and the trips you create. Because Packabee tunes a child's list to their age, a traveler you mark as a child may include an age or birthdate. You provide and control this information; we use it only to generate and improve the lists in your account.

Payment information. If you upgrade to a paid plan, payments are processed by Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card number.

Usage and technical data. We collect basic product-analytics events and error diagnostics (such as the pages you use and technical details about failures) to keep the service working and to improve it.

We use your information to provide Packabee (including generating your packing lists), to authenticate you, to send you service email such as invitations and account notices, to process payments for paid plans, to keep the service secure, and to fix problems and improve how it works. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use the content of your household to advertise to you.

Packabee is a tool for parents and caregivers. The service is intended for adults, and only an adult account holder adds a child's details (such as an age or birthdate) so that the packing list can be tuned for that child. That information is used only to generate lists within the account. We do not knowingly allow children to create their own Packabee accounts. If you believe a child has provided us information directly, contact us and we will remove it.

We share information with a small set of providers that run parts of the service on our behalf, each handling only what its function requires:

• Supabase — database, authentication, and hosting of your data.
• Vercel — application hosting and delivery.
• Stripe — payment processing for paid plans.
• Resend — delivery of transactional email.
• PostHog — product analytics.
• Sentry — error monitoring and diagnostics.

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the service.

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can ask us to delete your account and its associated data by contacting hello@packabee.com. Some records may be retained where we are required to keep them, for example for tax or accounting purposes.

You can access and update your household's information from within the app, and you can request a copy or deletion of your personal information by contacting us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over your information; contact us to exercise them.

Data is encrypted in transit, access to each household's data is isolated at the database level, and we monitor for errors and abuse. No service can promise perfect security, but we work to protect your information and to respond quickly if something goes wrong.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date above and, for material changes, take reasonable steps to let you know.
